no Signal when using DVI

I`ve bought the Winstar USB 2.0 Display Adapter DVI(2048x1152).

Unfortunately it does not work when it is connected by DVI. In that case the monitor didn’t get a signal and the screen is black.
I tried different resolutions all worked well with VGA but no one with DVI. Furthermore different DVI cable and another monitor didn’t work as well. In addition to this I uninstalled everything, made an reboot and made a new
installation with the same result.

Does anyone has an idea which will solve the problem?

As you have tried a different DVI cable and a different monitor also and the fact that you can see the display in the windows display properties to change the resolution sounds like a hardware issue with the DVI output of the device rather than a software issue.

The only thing I would suggest making sure of is that the monitor source/input is definitely set to the DVI input, not VGA.
