Hi AndMerlin,

In your case it's not a SW problem: you have a hardware issue.
You can see that in your System Profile: your display adapter is shown as PID 8060.
With this information you should be able to quickly get a replacement adapter and finally have more screens on your Mac!

How i see in SystemProfile

USB Display Adapter:

Product ID: 0x8060
Vendor ID: 0x17e9 (DisplayLink (UK) Ltd.)
Version: 0.17
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: DisplayLink
Location ID: 0x24100000
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): Unknown (Device has not been configured)

What wrong with it?

PID 8060 should never show up (outside our labs), it usually does so when there is a hardware error. I'd return the device.
