Hello,
I purchased this device (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815276031) and it claimed to be compatible with old CRT monitors, so I tried to hook up the HDMI to DVI adapter to a DVI to D-SUB (VGA) adapter, and I just get a standby screen on the monitor, I can confirm the device works using a DVI monitor, but I originally purchased it thinking I could hook up a VGA monitor.
Does anyone have any info on how I can get this working? I contacted Sabrent but they wanted my to call a long distance number and I doubt they can help anyways unless they have some specialized HDMI to D-SUB converter.
So thought I would ask here.

"The Sabrent USB-HRHD USB Display Adapter is the easiest and most effective way to add additional monitors to a PC or Intel-based MAC, desktop or notebook. You can add any LCD, TV, Projector, even old CRTs, via DVI, HDMI. After installing the software, simply insert the USB cable into your computer and you can add up to 6 of these units to one computer (One Display Adapter is require for each added Display)."
