Hi I am getting BSOD when using any displaylink driver after 6.1 when loading SWTOR. I have tried using older drivers but then I get a problem with my usb monitor turning off when doing pretty much anything for more than 20 minutes and the error message "desktop manager has stopped working".
After googling this error it appears to be a problem with nvidia drivers and any displaylink driver before 7.1.

So I need to use a 6.1 driver to stop SWTOR crashing on load, and at the same 7.1 to stop a conflict with nvidia that breaks the desktop manager, it is of course not possible to do both at once. Does anyone have a solution?

System: Windows 7 X64
Graphics: Nvidia Driver 310.90 on an GeForce GTX 660
CPU: I7-3770K
Main Monitor: AOC 2036 1600X900
Secondary Monitor:Lilliput UM1010T 10" USB Monitor 1024X600

Agreed. Im on an AMD 6970, and anything after 6.1 causes various games to crash on load. 6.1 means on a DVI-D port I cant use Aero, but a standard DVI port Aero works, with occasional random WDM crashes. However my main monitor is 2550x1440 and thus requires I use a DVI-D. This issue has been present since 6.2, you would think they would have fixed this issue by now. At this point im about to just throw away my USB monitor and buy a normal monitor as the Displaylink drivers are basically incompatible with any OS & modern graphics card beyond 2D.
