Because of it's amazing 2560x1600 resolution support!
Currently the Apple mini-DVI to dual-DVI adapter sucks when connected to my Dell 30" and many other external monitors as reported all over the net, so the DisplayLink USB3.0 support up to 2560x1600 is the ONLY alternative available.
Hopefully manufacturers don't come out with Retina desktop monitors next year, otherwise even the latest Displaylink support up to 2560x1600 would not work anymore :)
So, DisplayLink people, the customer has spoken, when are you going to release a beta for the DL-3XXX series support on ML? I need to place my order for the Startech USB3.0 device soon!
