Hey, is there a way I can calibrate the colours on this USB monitor? I would also like to dim the display as it is brighter than I thought it would be, can I do this through your drivers?

Monitor:
AOC e1649Fwu - displaylink

related information: Using this USB monitor on my laptop.

Graphics Card:
Nvidia Optimus GT540m / Intel HD 3000
intel core i5 2430m 2.4ghz.

Has anyone found a way to dim the display or calibrate the colours?

Can someone from displaylink address this issue? Surely dimming the monitor should be a feature.

as it appears "WIM" is the only one on the support team, can you let me know what I should do.

Will you have brightness controls in a driver update for your AOC e1649fwu usb monitor?

Any way I can dim the monitor?

Hi, I know it must be extremely busy over there, but can you please take a second to address this issue. Is there a way to change brightness on your USB monitors?

There are no physical buttons on your product to do this, can I do this through your drivers?

I need to finish a product review on youtube and amazon for your product.

I like the picture to get my attention... It worked :-) LOL

I wanted to check if there was any color control on this, but I don't think there is. I haven't actually used the product myself. Adapters connected to monitors can do color control (using the standard DDC/CI control lines to the monitor) but for this screen I don't think it is possible I'm afraid.

I've tried Screen Bright with my new AOC 15.6" USB display and I get an error message saying that no supported display devices were found. Is there another application that you can recommend that would let me change the brightness and white balance of the monitor? The display is way too blue and needs to be much warmer.

I found out that the download link for ScreenBright on the screenwhite.com home page is a different version than the one on the download page. The newer version launches, but the adjustments do not affect the USB display.

I can confirm as of today that Screenbright doesn't detect any compatible monitors.

However, I did find another alternative: http://www.pangobright.com/

I'm using this until I find another solution. This little utility is kind of "cheating" in the sense that it appears to be putting a mask over the monitor of choice that filters the color scheme making it appear to lower the brightness. However the monitor is most likely pulling as much power as before. This can be seen by just looking at the mouse cursor. The cursor doesn't change brightness but the rest of the screen "does."

Hope this helps others in the future purchasing this monitor.
