I am having the same issue described in this thread: http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1104
We are using HP USB Docking Stations and HP USB Graphics Adapters, which are both DisplayLink devices. The laptop is an HP ProBook 4525s running Windows 7 Professional SP1.
Using Windows update we installed the DisplayLink Display Adapter (01D7) update, which succeeded. Upon rebooting we saw the error message described in the thread linked above. I uninstalled the DisplayLink driver listed in Programs and Features in the control panel.
I followed the debugging instructions from here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=270
When I clicked "Gather Information" I got this error:

I've tried this with: (downloaded from your site)
- DisplayLink-5.4.26772
- DisplayLink-5.6.31870
- DisplayLink-6.0.34621
- setup.exe from the USB dock
In the device manager, there are no DisplayLink devices listed under Display Adapters or USB Controllers.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
