Any info when the next beta will be available? Or do I have to buy a Matrox Dualhead2go adapter instead?!

1.4? Do you mean 1.7. b4? Don't see it on the downloads site though. How does one get it please?

I have a late 2009 macbook pro...really need this to be working...

I installed beta 4 on macbook, but the same issue occurs, no login screen, its just blank....but....if you type in your password and press return. your in and the computer works normally and my 3 screens work fine now.

PLEASE just fix the login screen problem!

thanks
Michael

Agreed. Beta 4 makes no improvement to my problem either. trackpad and mouse still freeze onto iconwhen dragging and dropping.

Same issue here too. I'm also having issue when display link is installed, finder can not display icons in icon view but can in list view?!?!?!

It makes it VERY frustrating & would love to get a fix real soon!!!!

Guys as stated in other posts the issues you are mentioning here are not due to the DisplayLink drivers. We could release 1.7b5 or 1.7b324 or 2.5.24 and still we would have no hope of fixing those.
These issues (as far as we and other software developers in our same situation can tell) are bugs in Lion: once they will be fixed any release from 1.7b2 will see these issues fixed as well.
And if Apple did decide to go the extra inch and fix ALL the regressions in Lion, even 1.7b1 would work!

That said I'm sure we have some bugs in the drivers as well and we're working on them, but not these: we can't make icons disappear or make drag&drop stick. We could stop the login screen to work if we tried but unfortunately this is another known Lion problem on systems with NVIDIA 9400/9600. If you have such a system please contact Apple.

We see improvements in the 10.7.2 developer preview but some issues are still there..

Just thought I'd chime in and say that this problem is still annoying the heck out of me. I'm using DisplayLink version 1.7 on my MacBook Pro running 10.7.3

Hi Carlo,

Could you please elaborate on exactly what the lion bugs are that are messing up displaylink. I'd like to report them to Apple to hopefully raise the awareness/priority.
