Hello,

I am experiencing problems setting up a Kensington DisplayLink enabled Universal Multi-Display Adapter (M01063) on a system running 10.6.5. I am using the latest non-beta driver (1.6). The display attached (which is working properly, as well as the cable) is instantly identified by the Display preference pane. All available resolutions are shown; the proper name of the device is given. However, the display receives no video signal at all.

Perusing the dl.log file, I stumbled upon the following USB error:

00:01.27 USBConnectionType 006005A8 ERROR LusbConn.cpp:149 usb_get_string_simple() failed: = usb_control_msg(DeviceRequestTO): the device is not responding

Please refer to the DisplayLinkInformation.zip file I have attached.

Any help would be appreciated.

Note that I already repaired my permissions, deinstalled the driver and installed it again.

Regards,

Another excerpt from system.log yields:

Aug 6 21:17:57 alexander com.apple.launchd.peruser.0[560] (com.displaylink.useragent[616]): posix_spawn("/System/Library/Extensions/DisplayLinkDriver.kext/DisplayLinkAgent/DisplayLinkUserAgent", ...): No such file or directory

Unlike a person reporting a similar issue two years ago, however, I find that file properly placed and privileged inside the .kext container.

Could you please try to uninstall the 1.6 driver and install the 1.7b3 just for a test. Repair permission after uninstalling the 1.6 driver (it should be not necessary, but just to be sure everything is ok).
What happen if you change to another resolution available?
Could you please send debug information after installing the 1.7b3.
Thanks
