Default Can't enable more than 8 monitors

I'm running a 15" MacBook Pro (mid 2014) with an Anker USB 3.0 dock, a Pluggable USB 3.0 dock, two USB monitors (AOC) 3 monitors connected via DisplayPort + HDMI and the onboard Retina display.

I can successfully run 8 monitors at any one time, but if I try enabling the 9th and 10th, Windows 8.1 disables them again.

The MacBook has an nVidia GX 750m graphics chip w/ 4 GB of RAM (2GB dedicated + 2GB shared.) Also running the latest graphics driver available on nVidia's site (9.18.13.4752 released 2/5/2015), and the latest DisplayLink driver (7.7M4.)

Why can't I enable more than 8 monitors? Here's my setup (there's now an extra monitor in the blank spot on the right, and this pic doesn't include the retina display.)

Crap...just realized I opened this in the Windows 10 forum. Could this be moved to the regular windows forum? This is happening on Windows 8.1 (even though I did try on 10 with the same result.)

Sooo...anyone know how to enable more than 8 monitors? Right now, I can only get 3 normal displays and 5 DisplayLink displays to work on Windows 8.1.

...almost 3 weeks now...no response. Is this a known issue with nVidia graphics chipsets? Are there plans to fix it?

Moved again to Windows as I've realized that this is Windows running on Mac. Apologize for confusion.

I will take a look into your problem and let you know.

Kuba

Hi again computerguru,
this might be connected to Windows maximum desktop size. Can you provide the logs as described here, gathered just after connecting 9th monitor?

BR,
Kuba

Hi Kuba,

Just letting you know I haven't forgotten about this...just haven't had the opportunity to boot into Windows and check this out. Once I do, I'll post the logs.
