17.10 Problems brainstorm

I am using Ubuntu 18.04 on Dell XPS 15 (9550) laptop. I updated the firmware for both the Dell laptop and the Dell DisplayLink D6000
I have two Dell U2415 monitors connected to the display ports. The DisplayLink randomly disconnects and I see the following log messages:
