Screen randomly turning on and off
Im currently running win7 64bit and am having trouble keeping my 3rd screen on running off of the USB adaptor. I have a docking station on my laptop which runs my primary monitor. The 3rd screen is on the USB device and will randomly turn on and off. Windows shows the screen as disabled and over time it will randomly turn back on. I cannot reproduce the problem as it is random. Ive tried all the drivers on the site as well as the beta driver. nothing seems to fix this. i ran the advanced logging and attached it here. let me know if anyone has any ideas...

Hi
Could you try updating your Intel graphics driver, as the Windows 7 driver is dated Jan 2009 (before the Windows 7 release) Graphics: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Intel Corporation) Graphics Driver: 7.15.10.1637 Dated 2009-01-16 This may help solve the problem. Thanks Wim |

I was having a similar issue. I used moninfo (http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm) to create an inf file for each display. They were seen by windows as generic plug and play monitors. I updated the driver for each pointing to the inf files. The issue has not occured since.
