Displaylink 1.0.138 not working with Ubuntu 14.04.03

I installed the dispalylink drivers today and tried using my USB 3.0 dock but it doesn't work. I am unfamiliar with how to troubleshoot on Ubuntu but am familiar with some basic commands.

-Installed DKMS
-Ubuntu 14.04.03
-Linux 3.19.0-30-generic

What should I be looking at?

We will need some more information to see why the process is failing. It would be helpful if you could zip the following files:

/var/log/displaylink/*
/var/crash/*displaylink*

And attach an archive to this thread.
