Default DisplayLink and NVidia: GPU acceleration no longer works

When I attempt a GPU-accelerated render with DisplayLink installed and active, the modelling program I use, Blender, crashes. CPU rendering works all the time and GPU works when DisplayLink is uninstalled. I think it may have to do with the fact that the GPU cannot control the DisplayLink Virtual Adapter, but I could be wrong.

In the future will there be a way for the graphics card to recognize the Virtual Adapter as a monitor rather than only the CPU?

My card is a GTX680 and my processor is a an intel i7 2600k @ 3.4 ghz if that info helps
