Ipad App Crashes Home Screen Display

Okay so I downloaded the IPad app and the windows software today. I was pretty hyped about this. However, yes of course there is a "However", soon as I click connect and put in the password on the IPad my primary laptop screen goes crazy, all kinds of lines, and basically the video driver is just fracked up. The video on the IPad looks great. I can't get screen resolution control to open on the IPad side. When I close the IPad app my laptop screen doesn't return to a functional status until I put it to sleep and wake it up again. At this point I see why the product is free, it really doesn't seem ready for prime time. And Google yields no help and neither does this forum, oh yeah and support on the site is useless on this subject. Going to dig a bit more before I drop a bad review in the App store. Anyone had same issue? I have a HP Probook 4520s with Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
