Default rotate when on 16.04?

rotate when on 16.04? I need portrait in linux

Rotation was not possible to deliver due to missing functionality of Xserver's modesetting driver used in Ubuntu 14.04. Rotation in X requires working shadow memory, which looks like it's just become available in Xorg 1.17 used by newer distributions.

Note that it is already possible to rotate screens in Chrome OS, which also uses evdi - the same driver.

Please raise this idea at our Support Page so we can see what the feedback is and how wanted this functionality is.
