Default Displaylink Driver 1.2.65 on Ubuntu 16.04.2

I have updated my Ubuntu 16.04 to 16.04.2 with kernel 4.8 and new X.Org 1.18.4. Afterwards I have installed the current Displaylink Driver.

Now the Displaylink service wont start:
Code:
Feb 15 17:24:56 DesertF0x-T400 systemd[1]: displaylink.service: Service hold-off time over, scheduling restart.
Feb 15 17:24:56 DesertF0x-T400 systemd[1]: Stopped DisplayLink Manager Service.
Feb 15 17:24:56 DesertF0x-T400 systemd[1]: Starting DisplayLink Manager Service...
Feb 15 17:24:56 DesertF0x-T400 systemd[3353]: displaylink.service: Failed at step CHDIR spawning /sbin/modprobe: No such file or directory
Any help appreciated.

EDIT: That was just a leftover of the old Driver.

Now I have a X.Org crash when connecting the display link device.
/usr/lib/xorg/Xorg:Xorg: ../../glamor/glamor_fbo.c:189: glamor_pixmap_ensure_fb: Assertion `fbo->tex != 0' failed

2nd EDIT:
After starting x from console, which worked, and disabling the monitor which is connected to the dock I could re-enable it after logging in with lightdm an X won't crash any more.
