Surface Pro 1 + Displaylink ACP70EU + Windows 10 = Display and ethernet not working
Hi,
Please find attached my diagnostics. Here's my setup * Surface Pro (1) * Latest HD 4000 drivers * Mouse attached via USB, working * Ethernet cable attached, lights blinking so this seems OK * Display not working at all, 1 monitor connected via DVI Latest Displaylink drivers installed. When I try installing the drivers and it asks me to plug in the device for a first time setup, it gets stuck and won't get past that. I eventually have to press 'skip' and then finish the installation myself. Could you please provide advice on this matter? Should I dump this displaylink hub and get another one? If so, which one is 100% compatible with Surface Pro 1 and Windows 10? thanks |

Hello,
All DisplayLink products are compatible with your Surface Pro 1. This one is not recognized at all by Windows. As it does not enumerate on the (USB) bus, it's most likely a hardware problem: the software/driver has nothing to work with/from. I would check the connections, change cable, change machine before declaring the dock faulty. What kind of dock is it? Other docking stations are available from http://www.displaylink.com/shop/docks. Please note DisplayLink does not manufacture any dock/adapter. Regards, Alban |

Arampon,
I believe it's a faulty piece of hardware as I tried it out with my colleagues other displaylink (Dell) and it worked flawlessly. Here's what I found online, and it relates to the model: http://targusblog.com/2015/01/16/tar...em-51-defects/ |

That could indeed be the reason it doesn't enumerate at all!
