Default :) Blue screen of death :/

So.. I am new so Will probably be flamed..
Oh well....

I have gone and Tried Every Beta.........Same Results
I have Tried Different Os's 7/32 all sorts of flavors
same for 7 64 and xp
All the same result. I plug in The screen Flashes it locks up then it gives a blue screen for atimapg or something like that to fast to catch.

BUt 5.5 showed some promise this time for me... the screen flashed. the res went LOW the u70 came on (all black though. But to me thats better then nothing never even would come on before this driver) But still blue screended.... I get a message stating after restart this display link is not compatable with your card or os... but it says that on all os's........

System Details if it helps.....
dell xps 9000
core i 7 980x
12 gb ram 1333
3 tb hdd
2310 dell lcd
u70 lcd
smart marks handed coded touch.. (not hooked up) atm..
and a Ati 5770
windows 7 you pick the Flavor. Currently on 17th try and its now home pre 64

1:53pm I decided to see if it was Strictly a bad video Card...
I put in my 9800 gtx2 it works with out a flaw...... And i mean WITH OUT A FLAW...
BUT....... I had a Spare BRAND NEW in box ati hd 5770 and put it in thinking i had bad ati...
It still does the Same thing.... So it is Not a Bad video card.. its surely and icompataility issue

Hi,

The reason why you're experiencing such issues is because the ATI 5770 is a multiple GPU/Crossfire card which is not supported today.

Which version of the ATI drivers are you using? If you're using 10.8, could you drop back to 10.7 and try again? Several of us have had problems with ATI's 10.8 drivers.

Default I experied same problem

At first, sorry for my poor English.

I'm using display link USB monitor and meet with same problem.
When I turn on DisplayLink monitor, both main and sub screen turn to black,
and after few second, I meet blue screen.
The crashed file is not driver of diplaylink. It was always Radeon driver.
The crashed file name was "atikmpag.sys".

"atikmpag.sys" is some kind of multi-monitor driver and some kind of laptop PC
user annoying this error, as far as I know.

I tried below operation but it was no use.
1. Delete ATI driver completely (uninstall, reboot, enter safemode, clean up ramain ATI files "driver sweeper", and delete manually all ati files from windows folder).
2. Try ATI driver only (No CCC and any other files).
3. Try AMD USB filter driver.
4. Try my mainboard's USB 3.0 connector (NEC controller chip).

It is clear that this problem was occur with August revision AMD Radeon driver(10.8), because June revision(10.7) had no problem.

I think this part of driver written by ATI is not stable, but I can only to wait DlsplayLink team fix this problem.

Here is my PC
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955
RAM: Corsair DDR3 2GBx4 total 8GB
M/B: Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 (Rev.2.0 AMD 890FX chipset)
VGA: MSI R5850 Twin Frozr II
USB Monitor: Century LCD-8000U
OS: Windows7 Professional (Japanese ed) x64

I'm having the same symptoms with a Mobility Radeon HD 5870 with 10.8 drivers. Will try reverting to 10.7 and see how that goes.

I reverted to 10.7 and now it's working. Would like to not be stuck on 10.7 forever though. Will likely be an issue down the line.

Seems like there's always some new compatibility problem coming up when a new ATI driver is released.

I had to drop down to Catalyst 10.7 to get the BSODs to stop, but I'd like to use Catalyst 10.8 for the AA support in StarCraft II.

Is multiple GPU support likely to be added in the near future?
Having spent several days recovering from multiple BSODs and no success getting my MIMO monitor to work, it seems that this is probably the cause of my problems. I'll try the 10.7 catalyst driver and see if that helps.

I've downgraded by ATI drivers to the 10.7 Catalyst drivers and although it doesn't BSOD any more, I still can't calibrate the touch display. Every time the calibration runs the touch input is inverted vertically and so the calibration application times out because it doesn't get a response in the right place at the right time.

Surely the point of the calibration app is to map the received touch input to where it's expecting to receive input, not wait until you press where it wants you to

Installed Catalyst 10.9 and Displaylink 5.5 beta today and haven't had any issues yet.
