How can I test v1.3.42?
Hi,
I know I can download the driver from http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/ubuntu page. The version 1.2.65 works for me, yet CPU usage is too high. I understand that the driver is a combination of open source part (i.e. https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi) and a closed source part. How can I test the latest version of evdi: https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/...es/tag/v1.3.42 given that I have already installed the complete 1.2.65 driver from http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/ubuntu? Thank you, Martin |

Short answer is, you can't - because of an API change in the libevdi library which requires an accompanying change in user mode component. You may try https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/...719d1b6e9a7594 which should still work with DLM from 1.2.x driver for Ubuntu.
We'll be refreshing the Ubuntu driver soon. Cheers, Michal |

Any idea when a release of DLM will be ready? Unlike Martin, I am having no luck getting 1.2.65 working on my Kali install since upgrading the kernel release to 4.8.0.
I'd be willing to work with a beta release to get multiple monitors working again. |
