Default Basic Theme Rendering - Alpha release 1

Hi All

I'm pleased to post the first alpha driver, which uses a different solution to render Windows 7 Basic themes to USB displays.

This is an alpha quality release of the DisplayLink Software specifically for using DisplayLink with Windows 7 basic and high contrast graphics themes. The target audience for the release are users who want to use Windows 7
in basic and high contrast graphics themes.

If you have problems with the following Applications not rendering correctly on DisplayLink screens, please try installing this alpha:
  • Media Players
  • Internet Explorer 9
  • Powerpoint 2010
  • Visual Studio

The release has received limited testing and it may contain few critical issues.
Known issues listed below are specifically for Basic/High Contrast Themes.
  • Replugging DisplayLink devices may cause screen corruptions. See above for recovery steps.
  • Very occasionally, DisplayLink connected monitor may only refresh if there is mouse cursor
  • movement. To recover, a reboot is required.
  • Rotation of USB connected screens may not work in certain layouts.
  • Mirroring a rotated IHV screen is not possible using a DisplayLink connected monitor.

If you find any issues using this release in basic themes, please post a new thread, including your log files.

Please refer to the Release notes in the attached zip file for further information.

Thanks

Wim
