DL-165 - no siglal (monitor goes to power saving mode)
2nd try - Forum ate my first post
Thanks in advance to anyone who tried to help ***Problem*** Monitor recieves no signal and goes into power saving. Windows thinks everything is OK and I can drag to that area of my desktop etc. No error messages and event the correct resolution is detected. ***My Setup*** I have a DL-165 I am using the SVGA adaptor to convert the dvi to the svga format my monitor uses. ***Things I've Tried*** 1) I've checked the troubleshooting ideas (drivers installed, software installed, properties show it booted ok etc. 2) I've checked my USB cable is rated to USB 2 and am using a USB 2 port. 3) I've checked on 3 win.7 pmachines (2x laptops and 1 desktop pc) and 3 monitors 4) I've un-installed my nvidia drivers 5) I've updated my graphics card drivers 6) I've installed the default drivers that windows recommends 7) I've tried the drivers on the website here: http://www.displaylink.com/support/downloads.php 8) I've tried multiple USB ports incase I am unlucky ***Debug logs*** I've attached the debug logs for your reference. Everything looks fine from the logs and the software drivers think they are outputting to the adapter. This could be a hardware problem.

***SOLVED!*** - bad VGA-DMI adaptor
Hi - thanks for looking into the logs for me.
You are 100% correct - it was a bad vga to DVI adaptor. I swapped it out for another one and it works beautifully... Thanks for looking and wow - 3 monitors is amazing - I'll be buying a few more of these I think |
