Hello,

The device manager would give you the status of the hardware, not the driver.
If the device disappears from Device Manager, you should hear the Windows USB disconnection sound, which is sign that the hardware disappeared from the bus. Therefore the drivers have nothing to talk to.

This tends to come from a power issue. You have tried another USB port so I would advise trying a Y-cable to draw power from two ports instead of one as I believe the monitor you have does not have a separate power supply.
