It depends on what you are trying to do.. pure Thunderbolt display will be able to daisy chain (so you don't need an adaptor).

Right now you can get Displayport splitters (thunderbolt compatible) like Matrox Dualhead2Go DP edition.. with that you will split the display and no need for drivers.
