No I don't think they even make a driver for G5. The only way I can think of to reuse your old monitor is to use desktop sharing aka VNC.

I find using a different USB cable (a better shielded one helps).. eg EVGA comes with a really crappy retractable one.. I replaced with a fixed one. .and that seems to help.

I know the driver is loaded after a user logs in and after the applications have been restored. Is it possible to change the order it loads? (ie earlier?) Right now, on my imac it loads...

It depends on what you are trying to do.. pure Thunderbolt display will be able to daisy chain (so you don't need an adaptor).

Right now you can get Displayport splitters (thunderbolt compatible)...

Alternatives would use Thunderbolt and daisy chain the displays. That will be the best method since USB has bandwidth limitations.. I only use my displaylink for Terminal.. when you move say a VLC...

After upgrade to 10.7.3..

However holding Command Option then press System Preference will return the rotation dropdown menu.. however it also display weird lens when switch to 90 degrees./...
