Workaround for 1 fps issue
Hi all,
Some of you are experiencing the 1 fps issue with up to date systems. There is a workaround that's confirmed working at least for Intel: See https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/...ment-289511245 Let us know if it also helps you! Cheers, Michal |
I tried this and it works better for me.
my previous issue is here http://www.displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65187 The fps is normal now, but the mouse sometimes tears and sticks |
Works here also. The display attached to the dock works!
But the mouse cursor and moving the windows does not work very smooth! There are no distortions on the display, tested it for one day. But the mouse cursor moves annoying with stutter. Moving windows also. I switched the external display back to the DVI output on the laptop for now. Any hints for this problem also? |
reply to myself:
I changed the xorg conf to the following lines, the mouse now works fine. ``` zsj@debian ~ $ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf Section "Device" Identifier "Intel Graphics" Driver "intel" Option "AccelMethod" "sna" EndSection ``` Besides, I installed the xserver-xorg-video-intel on debian 9. |
With this workaround:
- If I use both laptop and external DL monitor, i have the DisplayLink process using 30% and more of CPU - If I close the lid and use external DL monutor, CPU is "normal" but the /var/log/syslog is continuosly logging messages like this, as in http://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=64523: Code:
Apr 5 11:40:55 caratinga kernel: [ 8113.475705] [drm:drm_wait_vblank [drm]] *ERROR* Unsupported type value 0x125, supported mask 0x7400003f |
