2048x1536 resolution

I need a 2048x1536 resolution to be available in the 7.6M2 software. My monitor supports up to 2560x1600 and so does my display adaptor (Startech USB32DPPRO). I've used the fit to tv feature but that takes out real-estate on my monitor. How can I add that resolution to the list?

Could you post the logs for your machine here, so we can see what modes your monitor is reporting. It could be that 2048x1536 is an interlaced mode, which we don't support, but the logs will confirm or deny this.

Thanks

I've looked at the logs you submitted and the I assume you are using an HP Z30i monitor? It was the only one I could find in the logs. The modes that this monitor reports that it supports are:

Display Modes
=============
640x480x24@60
720x400x24@70
720x480x24@60
720x576x24@50
800x600x24@60
1024x768x24@60
1280x720x24@50
1280x720x24@60
1280x800x24@60
1280x1024x24@60
1440x900x24@60
1600x1200x24@60
1680x1050x24@60
1920x1080x24@50
1920x1080x24@60
1920x1200x24@60
2560x1600x24@60

2048x1536 is not on this list, so our software will not report it as an available mode. Why do you need this resolution and have you found it is supported by native graphics cards? It is not a very common mode.

Wim,

I have had it working with a native graphics card. It is not a "Native" resolution but I set it up in the custom resolutions options and the monitor can take it. Here are the specs:

2048x1536
Refresh Rate H:95 V:60
Front porch H:48 V:2
Sync Width H:32 V:4
Back porch H:80 V:38
Polarity H:positive V:Negative
Pixel clock 209.250
Aspect Ratio 4:3

Is there any way I can add that resolution?

Hi

No, I'm afraid it is not possible to define specific video timings and have our driver use them. It just uses the video timings that the monitor supports.

Thanks

Wim
