Surface Pro with 8.1 and Bluetooth issues
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
I'm experiencing and issue with the 8.1 RC driver and my surface pro. about 3 - 4 times a day my Bluetooth mouse will stop working. After about a minute, the surface will blue screen. This only happens when I have my usb dock attached to the surface. If the dock isn't connected, then everything works fine. I've attached the diagnostic logs for review. |
Hi,
So if the blue-tooth receiver is connected to the Surface you don't get this issue? Suggestions: I note you have an older Renesas USB 3.0 host controller driver installed? Is this intentional? I'd remove it if you don't need it. Install the latest BIOS for your Surface: http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downl....aspx?id=38826 Let me know how you get on. Thanks, James |

Thanks for getting back with me. I actually did one step better. I completely reimaged my surface. Installed the latest firmware from windows update. I'm still experiencing the issue.
also, I don't have a Bluetooth receiver. I'm using a wedge mouse and the built in Bluetooth on the surface pro. I've attached the most recent support info. |
Im also having an issue with some metro apps. I have a couple apps that worked fine before installing the driver, however, all I get is the splash screen after installing the RC drivers.
The applications are: Yammer, and Cnet. |
Updates?
Any update on this issue?
My Bluetooth is still locking up several times a day. I've tried multiple Thinkpad usb 3.0 docks and the latest driver. John |

Update
FYI - It seems that the Surface firmware update released on 10/5/13 resolved my issue.
